The Band

The Coywolves are a Rock & Roll act founded by Johnny Brousseau in his hometown of Guelph, Ontario at the age of fifteen in 2015, where he then proceeded to record three indie albums, recording and producing the entirety of each before turning 20. Brousseau moved to Hamilton in 2018 and teamed up with bass player Ben Gray and drummer Dylan Pacheco to form the full group. Following the Coronavirus pandemic the young band brought in drummer Zak Stulla  to replace Pacheco and began to hit their stride. In 2022 the band expanded to playing across various cities which included Hamilton, Guelph, Toronto and Kitchener. Seeing triple digit draws in both their college home of Hamilton and Brousseau’s Hometown of Guelph, the band made houseparty shows a staple of their identity by throwing rowdy house shows in living rooms and backyard that more closely resembled college keg parties than traditional concerts. The momentum carried into 2023 where the band was able to pull 200+ on multiple occasions in various cities, and were given a headline spot at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern after impressing at the venue's New Music Night the previous year. The Band is now about to release their debut professionally recorded EP titled “A Call For Celebration” on the 15th of September under Humestead Records and are looking towards bigger and better shows with new drummer Adam Inrig as they look to expand nationwide and across North America.
